R. Phillip Doss, MD, FACS

R. Philip Doss, M.D., FACS, is an esteemed ophthalmologist committed to safeguarding, preserving, and restoring eyesight through advanced medical interventions and innate healing capacities. With a California Medical License, Dr. Doss obtained his Medical Degree from the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, followed by a Rotational Internship at Medical City Hospital. His dedication to excellence led him to complete a Transitional Internship at White Memorial Medical Center before undertaking a comprehensive Ophthalmology Residency at the same institution.
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and honored as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Doss is an active member of prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Doss holds academic positions, including Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at USC Keck, and has contributed significantly to academic research collaborations, notably with the Jules Stein Eye Institute and the Center for the Study of Macular Degeneration.
In his professional endeavors, Dr. Doss is the Medical Director at Doss Eye Medical Group, a longstanding Multispecialty Ophthalmology Group Practice, and the Medical Director of Alliance Surgery Partners ASC. Furthermore, he actively engages in volunteer activities, focusing on community health initiatives and participating in medical mission trips to underserved regions.
Dr. Doss has made notable contributions to the field through his publications, presentations, and surgical innovations, earning recognition such as the Best of Show Video Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
